Who we are

My Medicare 411, Ltd is a Georgia non-profit organization that presents free Medicare educational workshops in the metro Atlanta area. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our reservation line, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it.

What we collect, and when

We collect information in only one place on this site: the workshop reservation form. When you reserve a seat, you give us your first and last name, your email address, your phone number, the number of people attending with you, and optionally your street address, apartment or suite, city, county, state and ZIP code. We also record which workshop location, date and time you selected, and whether you checked the consent box.

If you reserve by telephone at 404-369-8078 instead, we record the same information by hand.

Our web host keeps standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. This happens automatically for every website and we do not use those logs to identify you.

We do not sell anything on this site, we do not have user accounts, and we do not ask for payment information, Social Security numbers, Medicare numbers or health information anywhere on this website.

Why we collect it

To hold your seat at a specific workshop, to tell you if that workshop is moved or cancelled, to send you a reminder before it, and to know how many chairs to set up. That is the entire purpose.

Text messaging

If you check the consent box on the reservation form, you agree to receive text messages from My Medicare 411, Ltd about the workshop you reserved. Those messages are limited to reminders, and to notices that a workshop has been delayed, moved or cancelled.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Information may be shared only with the service providers we use to deliver the messages themselves, and those providers may not use it for their own purposes.

Message frequency varies and is typically no more than a few messages per reservation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help, or call us at 404-369-8078.

Consenting to text messages is optional and is never a condition of attending a workshop.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not share it with insurance companies. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We share it only with the service providers that operate this site and our communications on our behalf, such as our web host, our form software and our email and text message providers. They may use it only to perform that service for us.

We may disclose information if we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep reservation records for as long as we need them to run the workshop series and to know who attended, and then we remove them. You may ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to mpeterson@mymedicare411.org or call 404-369-8078 (TTY: 711) and we will take care of it.

To stop text messages, reply STOP. To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link or simply tell us.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for basic functions such as remembering that you have closed a pop-up window. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

Children

This site is intended for adults approaching or already enrolled in Medicare. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

My Medicare 411, Ltd is not affiliated with or endorsed by the federal Medicare program or any government agency. Our workshops are for educational purposes only.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the revised version on this page and update the date at the top.
